BETHESDA, MdThe National Institutes of Health will convene a
consensus development conference on adjuvant therapy for breast
cancer on November 13, 2000.
The meeting will consider new information on chemotherapy, hormonal
therapy, and other treatment aspects, including the clinical use of
prognostic markers and quality-of-life issues. A panel of experts
from outside NIH will make recommendations after hearing 2 days of
presentations by leading researchers. The last breast cancer
consensus conference on adjuvent therapy was in 1990.
