DURHAM, NC--Duke University Medical Center and ExVivo Therapies
have announced a collaboration to construct and operate a cell
processing center, the first on the East Coast. ExVivo is a joint
venture between Applied Immune Sciences (AIS) and Rhône-Poulenc
The Durham center, due for completion in late 1995, will process
cells to be used in clinical trials of cell and gene therapies
for certain forms of cancer, AIDS, and other diseases.
