ABOUT THE ACTIVITY
This activity is based on articles and reports in ONCOLOGY Nurse Edition. It is developed from an identified educational need for information about practical management issues in medical, surgical, and radiation oncology. This activity has been developed and approved under the direction of CME LLC.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After reading this supplemental issue of ONCOLOGY, participants should be able to:

• Appreciate the nutritional needs of oncology patients during and after cancer treatment.
• Review reasons that cancer patients may not receive adequate nutrition and methods to deliver nutritional interventions to these individuals.
• Discuss various changes in interpersonal relationships and other social issues experienced by cancer survivors.
• Explain how the social well-being of cancer survivors may be addressed by the medical community.

ACCREDITATION
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of CME LLC and The Oncology Group. CME LLC is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. CME LLC designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
