Click here to earn Continuing Medical Education Credit Introduction In this latest installment in the E-Updates series of educational programs, Dr. Hyman Muss, of the University of Vermont College of Medicine and the Vermont Cancer Center, presents eight important abstracts on optimizing the use of tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors in early breast cancer that were presented at three recent major breast cancer meetings: the 2006 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, the 2007 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the 2007 ASCO Breast Cancer Symposium. The program is divided into three subsections. In each subsection you will find two to three abstract summaries followed by Dr. Muss’ commentary on those abstracts. In his commentaries, Dr. Muss provides his unique perspective on each group of abstracts, in an effort to contextualize current research for the practicing oncologist. Clinical opinions expressed in this program are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the supporters, publishers, editors, or officers of CMPMedica or Beam Institute.
