About the Activity

It is developed from an identified educational need for information about practical management issues in the practice of medical, surgical, and radiation oncology. Learning Objectives
• Review the definition and characteristics of inflammatory breast cancer, including molecular markers of the disease that may aid in diagnosis and act as targets for treatment.
• Appreciate important issues related to the management of elderly ovarian cancer patients, including surgery, use of chemotherapy, and a proposed algorithm for care.
• Recount a case of a man newly diagnosed with malignant melanoma who developed metastases and melanoma-associated retinopathy.
• Understand the molecular biology of neuroendocrine tumors and new targeted therapies that may prove useful.
Target Audience
This activity targets physicians in the fields of oncology and hematology.
