Updated Release - Kryptiq Sponsors First Annual Healthcare Connectivity Summit

PORTLAND, Ore, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Kryptiq Corp. announced today that the company is hosting the first annual Healthcare Connectivity Summit on April 29 and 30 in Portland, Ore. The conference will provide a viable, scalable roadmap for overcoming critical information sharing challenges in today's medical community. The conference will feature more than a dozen leaders from all sectors of the industry, including keynote address speaker Mark Leavitt, M.D., PhD, chief medical officer at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and Joseph Schneider, M.D., fellow at the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP). The panel of experts will lead interactive discussions and provide insight into standards and technologies for enabling a truly connected healthcare system.

"The Healthcare IT industry is now turning its attention to the challenges of connectivity and interoperability," said Mark Leavitt. "Adoption of standards for data exchange will make patient information portable between different systems and eventually between independent healthcare entities. I'm pleased to have the opportunity to discuss this topic at the Connectivity Summit."

Kryptiq is one of the fastest growing healthcare IT providers in the market. Kryptiq's technologies interface with existing electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management systems, and provide secure connectivity solutions that are based on industry leading standards, such as XML, Health Level Seven (HL7), the Continuity of Care Record (CCR) and National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP). By interfacing directly with existing clinical information systems and leveraging the patient data already stored in an EMR or practice management system, Kryptiq's technologies improve practice efficiency and provide the most accurate and up-to-date patient information to all parties at all times. Today, more than 100 hospitals, clinics and insurance payers throughout the U.S. are using Kryptiq's products.

The Kryptiq Healthcare Connectivity Summit will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions and breakout sessions. Hosted at the Marriott(R) Residence Inn in downtown Portland, the event will bring together Kryptiq's customers and leaders from all sectors of the healthcare community that rely on technology to improve the care delivered to patients, create efficiencies in their businesses and meet pending HIPAA regulations.
