FEATURED SEARCH TERM: diffuse large b-cell lymphoma, leg type
Histologic diagnosis of primary cutaneous diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PCLBCL) usually poses little diagnostic difficulty. But based on pathologic and immunophenotypical features, PCLBCL, leg type, is indistinguishable from testicular B-cell lymphoma affecting the skin, according to this report.
RESULT: Primary cutaneous diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, leg type and secondary cutaneous involvement by testicular B-cell lymphoma share identical clinicopathological and immunophenotypical features

Some cases of PCLBCL may adopt unusual or unfamiliar appearances mimicking other lymphoproliferative disorders or other malignant neoplasms. In a retrospective study of 79 cases, careful histologic examination and immunohistochemical stains revealed cases mimicking Burkitt lymphoma (starry-sky pattern), natural killer-cell lymphoma, mycosis fungoides (epidermotropism), low-grade B-cell lymphomas, epithelial malignancies, and Merkel cell carcinoma.
