
Dr. Jay Harris
The American Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) has awarded its 2007 Gold Medal to Jay R. Harris, MD, a pioneer in the use of breast-conserving therapy for early-stage breast cancer. Dr. Harris is professor and chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Brigham & Women's Hospital of Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Larry Kun
Also receiving the ASTRO Gold Medal for 2007 is Larry E. Kun, MD, a past ASTRO president. Dr. Kun chairs the Department of Radiological Sciences at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. His clinical interest is the treatment of brain tumors in children and adults, and the late effects of cancer treatment in children.
Dr. William Hoskins
William J. Hoskins, MD, has retired from his position as senior vice president of oncology research at Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah, Georgia. He is returning to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in an administrative position in the Department of Surgery. Dr. Hoskins served as chief of gynecologic oncology at MSKCC prior to joining Memorial Health in 2001.
