DUMONT, NJ--The Berlex On-cology Foundation is seeking applicants for two workshops: Epidemiology and Clinical Trial Design, to be held August 23-29, 1996, in Brewster, Mass, and The Clinical Pharmacology of Anticancer Drugs, which will take place October 4-8, 1996, in Leesburg, Va.
Aimed at young investigators interested in cancer research, the interactive workshops offer ample opportunity for one-on-one interfacing with the faculty, as well as peer-to-peer networking.
The awards cover travel expenses, lodging, meals, course syllabus, and textbooks. The application deadlines are May 30, 1996, for the epidemiology workshop, and June 30, 1996, for the anticancer drugs course. Twenty scholars will be selected for each program.
All applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited oncology training program and should possess a demonstrated interest in cancer research. Applicants must supply a current curriculum vitae, letter of recommendation from the department chairman, and a one-page letter describing the applicant's purpose in attending the program.
