LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After reading the CE-designated article in this issue of ONCOLOGY Nurse Edition, participants should be able to:
• Discuss variables that can increase the risk of patient falls in the cancer hospital setting.
• Outline key nursing interventions and safety precautions that can help to prevent falls in cancer patients.
• Understand screening tools to assess individual patient risk of falls and initiate the appropriate nursing intervention, or patient referral.

The purpose of this activity is to provide oncology nurses with current evidence-based guidelines and scientifically supported interventions to prevent falls in cancer patients in the hospital setting.
