The emergence of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) molecular residual disease (MRD) testing, which non-invasively identifies microscopic cancer in the blood, has presented a new strategy to enhance the management of numerous cancerous malignancies.1 For bladder cancer, this testing may optimize risk stratification, inform postoperative decision-making processes, and introduce more personalized surveillance strategies for patients, particularly in treatment de-escalation.
