26 A Nomogram for Predicting High Axillary Disease Burden in Patients With Localized HR+, HER2-Negative Breast Cancer Following Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy
ByNeha Kalakuntla,Yulun Liu,Holly Grace,Marilyn Leitch,Asal Rahimi,Mona Arbab,Narine Wandrey,Deborah Farr, MD,Heather McArthur, MD, MPH,Sunati Sahoo,Stephen Seiler,Prasanna Alluri In 167 patients with HR+/HER2− breast cancer after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, lymphovascular invasion, number of positive sentinel nodes, and >50% positive sentinel nodes were the strongest predictors of high axillary burden; a nomogram was developed to guide axillary management decisions.

This article reviews the current status of local therapy for breast cancer and the likely impact of evolving molecular data on the present paradigm.
