New machine approved for adaptive RT

Siemens Medical Solutions announced it has received FDA 510(k) marketing clearance for its ARTISTE Solution, a linear accelerator engineered specifically for Adaptive Radiation Therapy (ART).

CONCORD, California—Siemens Medical Solutions announced it has received FDA 510(k) marketing clearance for its ARTISTE Solution, a linear accelerator engineered specifically for Adaptive Radiation Therapy (ART).

ARTISTE is an integrated imaging and workflow solution that provides a comprehensive portfolio of image-guided and advanced treatment delivery protocols, using multiple imaging modalities, the company said in a news release.
