Two New Appointees at the NCI

BETHESDA, Md--Carol Mans-field, MD, professor of radiation oncology,Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, has been appointedchief of NCI's Radiation Research Program. She is former presidentof the American Radium Society and the American Cancer Society,Philadelphia Division.

Kenneth Cowan, MD, head of the NCI Medicinal Breast Cancer Section,will serve as acting chief of the Medicine Branch, temporarilyreplacing Robert Wittes, MD, acting director of the Division ofCancer Treatment.
